Chilli Paneer is an Indo Chinese dish. This blog contains easy to make chili paneer recipe. It is made by seasoning fried Indian cottage cheese.
Ingredients: Paneer (cottage cheese), cornstarch, all-purpose flour, salt, water, soy sauce, vinegar, chili sauce, garlic, onion, capsicum, spring onion, pepper powder, red chili powder
Preparation Method: Add cornstarch and all-purpose flour in a bowl. Also add green chili powder, salt and sprinkle some water o it. Mix the components well. Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying. Take paneer and cut down into small cubes. Now dip these cubes in the prepared batter evenly and dip them in the frying pan one by one. Take them out after some time until they become crispy. Remove excess oil from it. Place it on a napkin paper so that all extra oil gets soaked up. Now fry garlic pieces in the pan until they become golden. Cut down cubes of capsicum and onion. Fry them a little. Keep in mind that we don’t want them to become soggy so do not overcook. Saute them on high flame for about 1 minute. Stir some soy sauce, green chili sauce, vinegar and red chili powder. Add some water to it.
Now mix cornflour with water in a bowl. Keep in mind that we don’t want a lump in there, so mix it properly. Now pour it in the pan along with the veggies. Let it become little thick. You can taste the mixture and add things accordingly. Sprinkle pepper powder to it. Add cubes of paneer. saute them for about 1 or 2 minutes. Sprinkle chopped spring onions. Serve it hot.
